California law defines each crime according to a specific code section. The Penal Code defines the vast majority of the crimes. But the Vehicle Code addresses certain crimes involving cars, motor vehicles and driving. The Health & Safety Code addresses most crimes involving marijuana or narcotics. What does California Criminal Code 640 Mean?

640	Acts Committed On Or In Public Transportation
640.5	Crimes In Public Transportation Vehicle.
640.5(A)	Deface interior or exterior of a governmental entity by graffiti or other inscribed material.
640.5(A)	Graffiti On Facilities Or Vehicles Of A Government Entity; Less Than $250 Damage.
640.5(A)(1)	Any person who defaces with graffiti or other inscribed material the interior or exterior of the facilities or vehicles of a governmental entity.
640.6(B)(1)	Graffiti With Prior Conviction
640.7	Graffiti Within 100 Feet Of Freeway.
