What are Crime Codes

California law defines each crime according to a specific code section. The Penal Code defines the vast majority of the crimes. But the Vehicle Code addresses certain crimes involving cars, motor vehicles and driving. The Health & Safety Code addresses most crimes involving marijuana or narcotics. 647.1 Fine levied for violation of 647 a or b or for 647(F) violation with use of intravenous controlled substance.
647.6 Annoy/Molest Child
647.6(A) annoy or molest child
647.6(A)(1) annoy or molest child
647.6(A)(2) Annoy/Molest Child With Prior Conviction.
647.6(B) annoy / molest child
647.6(C) Imprisonment for second or subsequent conviction of annoying or molesting a child under 18.
647.6(C)(1) Punishment upon the second and each subsequent conviction of molesting child under 18 by imprisonment in the state prison.
647.6(C)(2) Punishment of imprisonment of 2 / 4 / 6 years for person with previous conviction of annoying or molesting child under 18.
